Introduction
The increased demand for providing care for the elderly and disabled has contributed to the emergence of the profession of a medical caregiver who works with nursing staff.

Aim of the study
The purpose of this work was to find out the opinion of medical caregivers on cooperation with the nursing staff.

Material and methods
246 medical caregivers cooperating with nursing staff took part in the study. The author’s questionnaire was used for the research.

Results
57.3% of respondents rated cooperation with nursing staff positively. The assessment of cooperation correlated with the place of employment and seniority of respondents. 56.5% of respondents stated that medical caregiver profession is underestimated by nursing staff.

Conclusions
Good professional cooperation between the groups of medical caregivers and nursing staff should be a priority when taking care of the patient.
