Dear Readers


I am pleased to hand the second issue of Archives of Medical Science (AMS) over to you. I hope the articles included are interesting for you and encourage you to become familiar with the following issues of AMS. I am waiting for your suggestions and opinions. I will be glad to receive any comments or a letter to Editors regarding the manuscripts we have already published. This form of communication between authors and readers is the best way to exchange opinions and take up the matter-of-fact debate.
I am very happy that in the second issue we can publish next great articles written by young researchers who are still medical students. I hope it is going to stimulate other young scientists to send us their manuscripts, and to present the outcomes of their studies in AMS. We are waiting for you. I would like also to ask all these young people whose manuscripts were rejected, to use the reviewers’ comments as guidelines during their next research in order to avoid such mistakes and to work harder and harder to receive essential results which may carry new facts in nowadays medicine.
I would like to thank all our Editorial Board for their hard review work. I am happy to announce that the mean period of review process of the manuscripts accepted for the second number was below 4 weeks. It is the only merit of the members of Editorial Board of Archives of Medical Science.
There are few people I would like to thank in a special way. Professor Lipbun Tan from Academic Unit of Molecular Vascular Medicine, University of Leeds, is a person who always provides me with advice, suggestions and ideas. His and Dr. Simon Williams’s manuscript to the point of heart failure published in the second issue of AMS may be very interesting not only for young scientists but also for experienced physicians. Its slightly controversial utterance may provoke much thought and discussion and I hope it does indeed.
The second person whom I can always rely on is Professor Janos Feher from 2^nd Department of Internal Medicine, Medical Faculty, Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest. There have been already several occasions which confirmed we can always count on him. I would like to encourage all readers to acquaint with the interesting case report to the point of hepatitis B infection.
Special thanks are also directed to all Editorial Staff, especially Dr. Kumar Ebenezar, Dr. Dirk Michielsen and Dr. Paweł Rzymski. Without their help we would not have the opportunity to hand the second issue of Archives of Medical Science over to you.
I hope thanks to help of our Readers, and all people cooperating with us, Archives of Medical Science will develop to be one of the most important scientific journals in our region.
