Neuromodulation techniques allow to reduce pain sensations and are relatively safe for patients. However, in a small percentage of clinical cases, there is a local allergic reaction to the skin after implantation of a spinal cord analgetic (SCS). According to Cameron, this applies to about 0.1% of patients who have been implanted with the SCS stimulator. The authors carried out an analysis of the clinical case report of a surgical patient, where it was necessary to remove the anal spinal cord stimulant due to a local skin allergic reaction with articles from world literature available on the subject.
