Among the many types of chronic wounds, upper limb injuries caused by crushing and burns are of particular importance. Often they are very deep, and the „struggle” to save the limb requires multidirectional, cooperative action. Adhering to current recommendations guarantees success in the form of restoring the continuity of the skin. The study describes the case of a 26-year-old man in whom a crush-burn wound of the upper left limb was caused as a result of an accident. Interdisciplinary teamwork and experience as well as local management based on the latest recommendations, including the TIME strategy, contributed to the improvement of the clinical condition of the wound and led to the healing of the defect.
