Postoperative pain management is an important part of nurses’ work in the post operative ward, so you should pay special attention to its severity in patients on first post-operative days. Nurses play a key role in pain management because they spend the most time with patients and can closely monitor them; therefore there is no overestimation of their role in the assessment and monitoring of pain.
