Aim:
Urinary incontinence is one of the most common chronic diseases in women and is a serious health problem in modern society. The aim of the study was to subjectively assess the knowledge of risk factors by women of different age groups living in Minsk District. Material and methods: A diagnostic survey was carried out using a proprietary questionnaire among 164 women. The results were subjected to statistical analysis. A significance level of p<0.05 was adopted, indicating the existence of statistically significant differences or relationships. Results: Most of the respondents were aged 25-40 - 46%, and the smallest group were women over 70 - 7%. In the study group, the largest number were women with higher education, and the fewest had primary and vocational education. Age and place of residence had no significant effect on women's knowledge of stress urinary incontinence. In each age group, the surveyed female respondents had a similar level of knowledge. Women with higher and primary education had more knowledge about the factors affecting SUI than women with secondary education. Conclusions: Women's knowledge of the factors influencing the disease of stress urinary incontinence was at a low level, which means that their prophylactic actions in order to avoid the disease may be limited. keywords:
